March, 2025

Change log

March has been an exciting and productive month at Vieolo! We've been hard at work launching a new mobile app and implementing fundamental changes across the platform. Our development process has been significantly streamlined, allowing us to share more frequent and detailed updates moving forward.

As always, this release note focuses on user-facing improvements and does not cover ongoing behind-the-scenes enhancements to our technology.

Vieolo

Platform

Unified Subscription Model

Previously, premium subscriptions were tied to individual workspaces. While this approach had its advantages, integrating it with Apple's App Store and Google Play Store proved challenging and often confusing for users. To simplify things, we have transitioned to a user-based subscription model. Now, each user has a single active subscription, with their usage calculated as the sum of all the workspaces they own. If a user is only a member (not an owner) of a workspace, their subscription tier and usage remain independent of that workspace.

New Subscription Tiers

We've introduced two additional lower-tier subscriptions and restructured the naming convention and limits of all tiers. This change provides clearer, more equitable access to Vieolo's features. Visit our homepage for an updated pricing breakdown.

Personal Workspaces Now Support Multiple Members

Personal workspaces can now include multiple members, just like business workspaces. However, they remain distinct in terms of features and functionality, ensuring that personal and business use cases are clearly separated.

"Partner" Renamed to "Connection"

Each workspace can list unlimited entities under "Connections," a vital tool for organizing entries across various Vieolo apps. Previously, these were referred to as "Partners," which often led to confusion about their role. This renaming brings much-needed clarity.

Spanish, French, and Portuguese Now Supported

Users can now choose from seven supported languages as the primary language for their Vieolo account and workspace. The addition of Spanish, French, and Portuguese brings us closer to our goal of serving a more diverse global audience.

Other Platform Fixes and Improvements
  • Fixed a bug that made login credentials case-sensitive.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally disrupted preferred language selection.

ReChive

ReChive iOS App Release

We are thrilled to announce that ReChive is now available on iOS! The app brings native functionality to iPhone and iPad users running iOS 16 or later. The Android version is in development and expected to launch in the coming weeks.

Other ReChive Enhancements
  • Added the ability to duplicate a ReChive entry on the web.
  • Enabled file addition and deletion directly within the ReChive entry form on the web.
  • Introduced the ability to modify invoice exchange rates, similar to receipt exchange rate adjustments.

UniMark

UniMark users on Android can now purchase a lifetime pass. This feature will also be available on iOS soon.

Open Source Contributions

dev-flake-template

We have released dev-flake-template, an open-source Nix flakes repository designed as a starting point for developing various projects.

Vieolo-response

We have open-sourced Vieolo-response, a repository that defines the standard we use for structuring API responses at Vieolo. By making this library publicly available, we hope it can serve as a valuable resource for teams looking to build robust and maintainable APIs.

Thank you for being part of the Vieolo journey! Your feedback and support drive our continuous improvement. Stay tuned for more updates next month!
